▩ In General

These General Business Terms shall apply to all business relationships between the Customer and Chic Tiles in their version which is valid at the time of the order for deliveries of all kinds, which Chic Tiles provides towards its Customer insofar as no contradictory written agreements are reached in a purchase or other contract concluded between Chic Tiles and the Customer. Legally relevant declarations and notifications of the Customer after conclusion of the contract (e.g. setting of deadlines, reports of defects, declaration of cancellation or reduction), require a written form in order to be valid.


▩ Orders

Please note that products cannot be purchased together if they are not from the same manufacturer. Please contact us for a quotation if your order contains different products.
Digital images, catalogues, and other advertising material are only indications of the type of goods offered and are subject to variation.
When you place an order on our Online-Shop, you will receive confirmation by email of receipt of your order.  This is not an acceptance of your order as unfortunately we cannot guarantee availability of goods advertised on our website.  Your order is accepted when we confirm by email that your order has been dispatched.
All prices shown on our website are in Euro and include Value Added Tax.  From time to time, prices may differ from that displayed on our website.  If this happens we will not dispatch your order until we have advised you and you have agreed to make the purchase at the new price.
We reserve the right to accept or refuse your order, even after receipt of an order confirmation, for any reason whatsoever, including an error in the advertised price or description of the goods, or any other error in relation to the goods.
If we reject your order we will contact you by telephone or email to arrange a full refund of any payment that you have made.


▩ Delivery date, terms of delivery and shipping cost

Delivery date: Between 10 to 20 working days from the moment the order is processed. Please note that, delivery dates are estimates only.  We do not accept liability for failure to deliver the goods within the times specified as a result of shipment
We appreciate your understanding during this difficult time and would like to assure you that we are doing everything we possibly can to process your order ASAP

Any quantity lesser than 10 boxes WILL NOT be sent unless it is accompanied by other materials or it is a completion of previous orders.


▩ Delivery and Unloading:

We ship tiles: to any destination within the European Union and UK.
The tiles are delivered by trucks equipped with a lifting device and are unloaded from the truck on the road at the customer’s delivery address, except as otherwise provided by the dedicated Customer Support specialist while confirming your order. Therefore, the customer shall ensure that the delivery place is fully accessible for the said vehicles and there is enough space for the goods’ to be unloaded. The delivery to historic city centers and other areas with limited truck traffic and no possibility to unload the goods, may involve extra shipping expenses.
Important! Once you are not sure that the truck will have full access to the delivery address and there will be enough space for the goods to be unloaded, please contact your dedicated Customer Support specialist, so that we could suggest alternative goods delivery routes prior to order confirmation.
In the event you would like to arrange goods unloading from the truck yourself, please contact your dedicated Customer Support specialist, so that we could recalculate the shipping expenses and let you know, if there is any difference.


▩ Delivery of Goods:

Goods will not be dispatched for delivery without first receiving full payment.
Pallet deliveries of tiles will be made with large goods vehicles using tail lifts to the nearest kerbside. Our pallet couriers are unable to bring these items inside the property or move any items to the desired floor of the house due to insurance purposes.
It is at the customer’s liability, and driver’s discretion, if delivery is accepted onto any part of the customer’s property.If you refuse the delivery because of the driver being unable to drop at your door then you will be charged the actual delivery costs and collection fees.
Once the goods are delivered, the customer shall checks them visually. In the event that any damage to the packaging is revealed, the customer shall describe this in the delivery note.
The customer or whomever have instructions to receive the delivery, must open and check the order for damages in the presence of the driver, prior to signing any paperwork from the courier.
Please check visually the pallets. Check if the plastic cover is damaged, all the corners and the wood pallet. If you noticed any damage on the plastic cover or on the wood pallet please write on the proof of delivery “EXTERIOR DAMAGED”.
In the unlikely event that an item(s) has been damaged note this on the courier’s POD (Proof of Delivery) – ‘DAMAGED’ along with product description and take pictures. There is no need to give the defective tiles back to the carrier.
Do not manipulate the goods from the pallet until the photos are taken.
If you haven’t identified any damage on the exterior of the pallet but you can’t check the goods please note on the POD – “UNCHECKED“. We cannot accept any claim once the POD is signed clean.
We cover 100% of any breakage or damage always when the above terms are fulfilled.
In the unlikely event that an item has been damaged in transit please contact Chic Tiles by e-mail: support@chictiles.ie within 24 Hours of receiving your delivery and send us the proof of delivery along with pictures.
We will either refund the costs of such goods, or replace them within the shortest time possible.


▩ Shipping costs:

The shipping is displayed separately when purchasing for each product. For other countries which are not listed, please contact us via Email: support@chictiles.ie


▩ Cancellation and Return of Goods:

Within 24 hour the customer may cancel the order once placed. After 24 hours the order cannot be canceled if it has already been shipped. You have a statutory right to return those goods unopened up to 14 days after receiving your order, applied also to faulty goods or wrong order. You must email us at support@chictiles.ie telling us that you wish to return your order.  We will refund the purchase price excluding delivery costs
All goods returned are subject to a 20% restocking charge and must be accompanied by a valid receipt.
However please note that cancellation of unstocked goods will not be accepted once your order has been processed and no returns or exchange will be available. The shipping cost payed with your order will not be refunded.
Goods returned are returned at your risk and cost.  They must be returned unopened, securely wrapped and including our delivery document.


▩ Return of Faulty Goods Received:

We ask that customers fully inspect all products received on the day of the delivery. To ensure a speedy resolution, we must be notified of any items that arrive faulty or damaged within 24hrs of receipt. We will then advise the next course of action, we will contact you and either arrange collection, ask for goods to be returned back to us or disposal of goods, never dispose of goods without our notification.
Please note: All goods reported as faulty will be tested by manufacturers, if it is determined the goods are not faulty or if the faults are deemed to be caused by damage or abuse this will void any warranty, goods will be returned to you and no refund or replacement issued.


▩ Prices

All prices shown on our website are in Euro and include Value Added Tax. In the event that a corporate customer is registered in the EU has an international VAT identification number, the respective order invoice is issued net of VAT, and the VAT identification number of the suppling company is specified.


▩ Payment

Chic Tiles offers the payment by credit card, debit card or bank transfer. Goods will not be dispatched for delivery without first receiving full payment.


▩ Warranty

All products from Chic Tiles come complete with a minimum of 12 months Manufacturers Guarantee, many products are listed with periods longer than 12 months, in these cases the period listed is still a Manufacturers Guarantee. Different manufacturer’s have different procedures for dealing with faults, on some occasions we will deal with the replacement of goods on their behalf, some companies will only deal with customers direct so we will provide you with all the relevant contacts and information, they will then arrange repair, replacement or advise alternative procedures.
Please note: All goods reported as faulty will be tested by manufacturers, if it is determined the goods are not faulty or if the faults are deemed to be caused by damage or abuse this will void any warranty, goods will be returned to you and no refund or replacement issued.


▩ Product presentations and guarantees

The product presentations on the website can deviate in colour and impression from the actual articles. References to the products do not represent any guarantee. An additional guarantee only exists with the goods delivered by Chic Tiles if this was explicitly stated on the website for the respective article. If applicable, special guarantee terms from the manufacturer of the article will also be shown on the website.

We may make changes to our terms and conditions at any time without notice.  The terms that apply to you are those posted on our website the day you place your order.
We may make changes to our website and its content at any time without notice.  To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not accept liability for any loss or damage you may suffer as a result of:
– Errors or inaccuracies on our website,
– You acting or failing to act on any information contained on our website,
– Personal injury of any kind resulting from your access  or use of our website.


▩ Data protection

The data collected from the Customer within the framework of his order shall be processed and used by Chic Tiles for establishing, executing and terminating the contractual relationship with the Customer, in particular also for processing warranty claims. Personal data of the Customer will only be forwarded to third parties if and insofar as this is necessary for executing the contract, in particular for carrying out the delivery.
The use of the e-mail address for advertising purposes is only carried out if the Customer has granted his consent in this respect. The same shall apply accordingly to the use of such data for market or opinion research.


▩ Law and jurisdiction

These terms and conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with Irish law, and any disputes relating to these terms and conditions will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Ireland.
